   We are a Shotokan Karate Academy with a heavy influence from Shito Ryu Karate and Yamanni Ryu Kobudo.

  The ancient art of Karate offers a unique opportunity to develop self-awareness, to master new skills, and to develop both physical and emotional control. The skills and attitudes you acquire will help you in all aspects of life.

  Although students compete against each other, Karate training is more of a competition with oneself, and students proceed at their own pace. The environment is ideal for those who love physical activity but shy away from the pressures often associated with team sports.

  At MBKD we welcome all ages and abilities. We want you to enjoy your karate and make sure that it's right for you before you begin spending your hard-earned money and that's why we provide you with a "taster course" so that you can try it for a few weeks to see if you like it. Our Special Trial Karate Lessons are an excellent way to get started.
